Room In Shared House

Just Want A Room Near Fawley?

Take a private room in one of our houses and share the kitchen, lounge and bathroom with the other lads working on site. Everything's included, and you're 20 minutes from the gates.

From £230 per week· all bills included
Double Bedroom · Wordsworth Road

Taking a whole two-bedroom flat doesn't make sense for everyone. If you're down here on your own, a room in one of our shared houses costs a good deal less — and you get the same location, the same standard of place and the same 20-minute run down the A326.

How It Works

01

Tell us when you're down

Just your start date and roughly how long you're on site for. No account to set up, no deposit to enquire, and you don't need exact dates.

02

We'll find you a room

We'll have a look at what's free across the houses and come back to you the same day or the next with what we've got and what it'll cost.

03

Turn up and settle in

The room's furnished and made up before you get here. Bring a bag, get your head down, and you're on site the next morning.

What You Get For The Weekly Rate

  • Your own private, furnished room
  • All your bills — gas, electric, water
  • Proper Wi-Fi that handles a video call home
  • A kitchen you can actually cook in
  • Washing machine, so no launderette runs
  • Lounge with a TV to sit in of an evening
  • Bedding and towels sorted before you arrive
  • Somewhere to park

Typically £230–£260 per week depending on the room and length of stay. That's it — there's nothing to pay on top. No separate gas and electric, no Wi-Fi charge, no parking permit to sort out.

You'll be sharing with other lads working at Fawley, not students or holidaymakers. Everyone's out on site during the day and most people are working shifts, so the houses stay quiet and people are respectful about it.

Rooms tend to come free at short notice — usually when someone finishes up on site and heads home. So even if you need something for next week, it's worth asking. We'd rather tell you we're full than have you not ask.

Where You'd Be Staying

Things People Usually Ask

What's a room going to cost me?
Somewhere between £230 and £260 a week, depending which room it is and how long you're staying. That's everything in — the room, all the bills, Wi-Fi, the kitchen, lounge, bathroom, washing machine and parking. Nothing gets added on afterwards.
What do I actually get?
Your own room with a proper bed, somewhere to put your stuff, and the bedding and towels already sorted. You share the kitchen, lounge and bathroom with whoever else is in the house. Every one of our places has decent Wi-Fi, a washing machine and somewhere to park.
Who else is going to be in the house?
Other lads working at Fawley. We only let to people who are working, so everyone's out on site during the day and a lot of them are on shifts. It's a quiet house full of people who want a decent night's sleep, not a party house.
Can I pick which house I'm in?
Tell us where you'd rather be and we'll do our best, but we can't always promise it. Rooms come and go at short notice, so it usually comes down to what's actually free for your dates. If you've got a reason for wanting a particular one — you know someone staying there, or you want the shortest drive — just say and we'll try.
How long do I have to take it for?
We work in weeks rather than nights for rooms, and most people stay for however long their placement runs. If your job gets extended, that's usually no problem at all — just let us know as early as you can. Tell us your dates and we'll tell you straight whether we can do it.
How long is the drive to Fawley?
About 20 minutes from any of our places, straight down the A326. The Totton house is the closest — you're on the A326 almost as soon as you set off, so you're not sat in Southampton traffic on an early start.
What if I need somewhere at short notice?
Ask anyway. Rooms often come free with a few days' notice when someone finishes up and heads home, and we'd much rather tell you we're full than have you assume we are. If we can't help, we'll say so straight away so you're not left waiting.

Would You Rather Have The Place To Yourself?

Fair enough — plenty of people would. Our 1 and 2-bed properties start at £70 a night, and the longer you're staying the better we can do on the price.
